We recently had Ron Van de Merwe from South Africa grade and tag our flock.
All but 1 of full blood ewes graded 4 or 5 and half our Rams presented were typed 4.
For a small stud we are very pleased with these results.
Wooden Springs recently competed in the 2008 Annual Dubbo show in April. As our first ever entry into any show, we unfortunately did not win any prizes, however we learnt a lot and gained valuable experience from the competition.
We would like to congratulate Amarula for winning the Grand Champion, Dell Dorpers for the Junior Ram Category and Bellevue Dorpers for wining the Reserve Champion Ram and Reserve Champion Ewe.
We have high hopes for our Arnie! Wooden Springs will be entering Wooden Springs Arnie into the National Dorper and White Dorper Show held on the 25th & 26th of April 2008 at the Dubbo Showgrounds.This will be the first ever entry for Wooden Springs into the show and we are looking forward to the experience.
